The Story

Born into a non-practicing hindu family, a young boy was raised in a middle class household with no exposure and understanding of the concept of God, rituals surrounding it, the concept of devotion. He grew up never hearing of any spiritual practices, never listened to any purana stories or the epics and was oblivious of the existence of ancient Indian scriptures.

The young boy grew up conditioned by the norms his parents and his environment instilled in him, going on to living the life of a householder, earning degrees from international universities, securing high positions at international organisations, raising a family, and caught up enjoying the pleasures of life that good experiences brought and seeking validation of the society for his achievements and material successes.

After years of work life spent between London and Dubai in leadership roles, and after rejecting the board position offered at one of the largest investment companies in the Middle East where he worked for 9 years, Vinod chose to embark on the journey of being a venture investor and entrepreneur for the rest of his life, founding and investing in several businesses.

Towards the end of 2010s his eventual move to India was a homecoming after almost 20 years of expat life. The return was not a result of a calling to get back to the roots but was imposed upon him by an external powerful force. It was eventually revealed to him that it was the powerful energy of his ancestral Guru that reset his life and got him to start anew, the same divine force that handheld him through revelations of who he was, why he was here and where he was headed. The revelations of his family temple, the deities, the ancestors, the family legacy, all of this was overwhelming and a shock for a person who had lived most part of his life as an atheist or rather as an agnostic with no understanding of this space.

His Guru subsequently guided him into spiritual practices and study of vedic philosophies. Eventually as he evolved spiritually he was introduced to one of the most revered Guru of his times who helped shape his understandings that eventually opened the path to Self realisation and his abidance by the true essence of Advaita Vedanta (non-duality). His transformations saw him transcending the body, mind, ego, the eventual letting go of his identity and abidance as consciousness.

Today his body still continues its life in this world but in a new identity of YogiV, living a life of service, in oneness with every being in the world, as consciousness in which it all appears, serving all beings through his foundation and society.
